Absent Minds!

I’ve never been much for institutions

spent my whole life eating pollution

now I’m searching for solutions 

but problems are all I see 

Walk these streets never ending

I can feel time and space bending

but this ain’t my money I’m spending

but in life and love nothing comes for free

Now there’s nothing in the stars tonight

they’re all in your eyes

I’ll be sitting here switched on but in standby

i got my guitar and my dog and a couple of pbr’s

I’ll be planning my next escape in no time

Strange things happen in this town

they say the rain falls from the ground

and sometimes I speak without making a sound

and you swallow every word
